This summer, we were thrilled to take part in the From Waste to Wonder exhibition at Pitzhanger Manor, running from June to September. The exhibition was all about exploring how waste can be turned into something meaningful and beautiful.
In our room, we showcased some of our favorite projects. We brought along a selection of furniture pieces made from our biomaterial to show how versatile and sustainable it is for interiors. We also presented The Urban Stomach, our concept for an automated system that transforms urban waste into artifacts and interior designs, inspired by the way a digestive system works. Visitors could follow the process of waste being “digested” and turned into something new. Finally, we displayed our work on the Tree Pavilion, a structure made entirely from urban waste. It’s designed not just for people but also for insects and plants, creating a space where nature and architecture meet.
In the room next to ours, artists and makers from the Park Royal district showcased incredible work made with wild clay from the HS2 building project.
A huge thank you to Louise Shorr, Richard Parry, Clare Gough, and the amazing team at Pitzhanger Manor, as well as everyone at the Park Royal Design District. It was such a fantastic experience, and we loved sharing our vision for a more circular and sustainable future with everyone who visited.
